Factory PR is seeking a CPG PR Senior Account Executive. The candidate should be tapped in culturally and have a genuine passion for the public relations and consumer packaged goods fields. The position calls for an expert media strategist and enthusiastic social media consumer. This position, which reports to a Senior Director, will supervise, develop, coach and mentor a dynamic team, including an assistant.

  • Develop and execute innovative communications strategies for large national and international brands, melding traditional and digital media
  • Write and produce high impact press materials including press kits, releases and pitches
  • Maintain and expand strong relationships with food, beauty and CPG editors and bloggers
  • Secure strategic press coverage—both features and product placement in top national, regional and online media outlets
  • Conceptualize and execute press events
  • Manage large event budgets
  • Cultivate relationships with influencers for product seeding/recruit brand ambassadors
  • Accompany clients and editors on domestic and international press trips
  • Manage mid level and junior staff, being a strong mentor and guide
  • 4-years experience with focus on either technology/innovation clients or Consumer Packaged Goods (food or health/wellness/beauty)
  • Have an innate knowledge of the consumer media landscape and how to get the attention of target press
  • Superior knowledge of business/consumer media practices, as well a phenomenal track record in garnering top-tier coverage in print and online media, and broadcast television
  • Experience in press event planning with big brand/big budget
  • Responsible for creation, maintenance and timely distribution of editorial reports, press clippings and budgetary tracking documents
  • Exemplary management skills and a desire to create and maintain a positive culture
  • Strong and effective writing, communication and presentation skills to articulate ideas to clients, agency principals and colleagues
  • High level of interest and proficiency in new media landscape, and experience with outlets including blogs, communities and networks
  • Solid understanding of market trends, and actively seek out new practices and ideas
  • Bachelors degree ideally in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing or a related field
  • Must be proficient in Powerpoint, Photoshop, Excel, Word, and social media networks
